The Infrastructure Providers Category-I License Registration OR IP 1 Registration
Those Infrastructure Providers who wants to provide assets such as dark fiber, Right of Way, duct space & tower can apply for Infrastructure Providers Category-I or IP 1 registration.
What is the Eligibility for IP 1 License?
The applicant must be an Indian company, registered under the Companies Act’1956. In MOA it should mention – to carry on the business of infrastructure Provider for providing assets such as dark fibers, Right of Way, duct space, Tower for relaying and transmission of signals for internet and telecom based cable services to licensed telecom service provider (TSP’s).
What is the Process for IP 1 License Submission?
IP 1 Registration application is not submitted online they have to be submitted physically at the Dot HQ Delhi and the application processing fee for IP 1 Registration is Rs 5000 and that too have to be submitted online through a government portal Bharatkosh .
All documents related to application has to be submitted physically at the Dot HQ Delhi and after the verification and checking of the document this registration will be sent through courier to your registered office or a correspondence office as mentioned in application form. There is No need to come to Delhi or go anywhere else for receiving this registration. The applicant company shall make its own arrangement for Right of Way (ROW). IP-I registered company shall provide for the use of infrastructure in a nondiscriminatory manner.
